Children's Portraits we have taken
Take if from a mother of a son who grew up so fast – time goes by quickly and time is something that can never be replaced. My favorite wall portrait in our home is of my son when he was 9 years old and on his first horse. The older he gets the more valuable the portrait – honestly, it’s irreplaceable.
I clearly remember my concern with the cost of creating that first piece of wall art over 17 years ago. We had gobs of snapshots of Trevor on a horse; was this really so special? There were so many other things we “needed” and this portrait felt like a luxury. Gary and I decided, however to make the investment in this wall portrait and we never regretted our decision. Every time I look up at that little beaming smile that peaks out from underneath his western hat as he proudly sits atop his beautiful bay horse name JW, I feel that exact day in time, as though I were once again standing in the field with them.
At that time I had no way of knowing how valuable it would become and for all the years of enjoyment we’ve received thus far it equates out to be less than one dinner out each year! There’s nothing that I own that comes close to the value of that portrait.
